Simone Bonanni
Simone Bonanni, class 1989, is an Italian new-generation designer from Pordenone. The artist believes that a product should establish a friendly, emotional connection with its owners, beyond simple functionality. The communicative power of his creations is a combination of brilliant aesthetics and several sensorial shapes, to provide a unique, complete and complex design experience. The creations by Bonanni are filled with a deeper value, and each one is brought to life from an individual concept.
He graduated from IED Milan in Industrial Design with Honors in 2011 and currently teaches product design and lectures for the same institute. After being awarded a Compasso D’oro Award in the same year he got his degree, Bonanni moved to the Netherlands to work with the Marcel Wanders team as product designer. Back in Milan, the artist started his own design studio, SBS Simone Bonanni Studio, in 2015, and has been collaborating with renowned brands ever since, such as Moooi and Mdf Italia.
