Thau & Kallio

Revealing a Nordic mix of Finnish, Danish and Swedish blood, the two designers Thau & Kallio are experts in developing high-end industrial design furniture. The duo includes Jakob Thau and Sami Kallio, who founded their design studio in the cities of Copenhagen and Gothenburg. Professionalism, high creative and production standards characterize the team, which has collaborated since the early stages of its career with brands such as &Tradition and Fredericia.

Both artists are skilled cabinetmakers and boast a great deal of experience in the design industry. They graduated from respectively the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Design, Copenhagen and the Master of Fine Arts in Design, HDK Gothenburg School of Design and Crafts, Gothenburg. Their love for good craftsmanship and curiosity for new materials lay the foundation for a visionary style that looks different yet respects tradition.
