Wim Rietveld
Wim Rietveld was a famous industrial furniture designer. Born in Holland, he studied Industrial Design at the Hague Academy in 1950, and became head of design at Gispen in 1953. In 1958 he started working with De Cirkel, a steel furniture manufacturer that had merged with the Ahrend Group. There he met Friso Kramer, with whom he designed iconic collections, including the Result Chair in 1958. His table collections for Hay are world-renowned.
