Zanini de Zanine

Famous for his production of wooden furniture, Zanini de Zanine was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1978. The designer grew up observing the work of his father, architect and sculptor José Zanine Caldas, later embarking on a career in design. During his apprenticeship with Sergio Rodriguez he produced his first piece of furniture. In 2002, he graduated in Industrial Design and made his "Contemporary Carpentry", wooden furnishings crafted from pieces taken from columns and support beams of old houses.

Since 2005, the artist has been starting his own production of furniture made of controlled origin wood and other materials such as plastic, acrylic, metals and parts of manufactured products. To represent his new line of furniture he founded Studio Zanini in 2011. During his career he has received prestigious awards and exhibited his creations all over the world. Today Zanini collaborates with famous brands such as Tolix, Poltrona Frau, Cappellini and Slamp, Espasso.
