The Eames Plastic Chair were, in 1950, the first plastic chairs produced on an industrial scale to be launched on the market. Wooden base, stained and lacquered in golden maple. Round steel cross struts in basic dark.

The organic forms of shells offer, with or without padding, a high level of comfort. The colors of the coating materials of the bodywork and the seats are freely assignable. So, along with the basics, are different combination possibilities. Plastic Armchair was presented for the first time in the competition, "Low Cost Furniture Design" at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The seat shell in fiberglass-reinforced plastic were later combined with various bases, such as RAR and stand with shoes produced in the millions. Their current version polypropylene gives these sessions even more comfort.
