Egg Footstool Anniversary is part of the collection celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Fritz Hansen brand. The iconic armchair designed by the Danish Arne Jacobsen in 1958 is re-proposed for the occasion with an exclusive covering.

The Egg armchair and footstool are the result of the research of Arne Jacobsen, who found the perfect shape for the shell by creating models with wire and plaster in his garage. The egg shape was born from the introduction of the use of a foam shell under the covering. Today the Egg series is recognized worldwide as one of the triumphs of Jacobsen's legendary career and an icon of Scandinavian design.

Architect and designer Arne Jacobsen (1902–1971) is a master of Scandinavian design, a figure who left a mark with his distinctive and personal style. His masterpieces and great design classics bear witness of his unquestionable talent: the Ant chair, Series 7, Grand Prix, Swan and Egg Chair, all produced by Fritz Hansen. Besides the production of furniture, among his major works we remember the AJ lamps for Louis Poulsen and the Cylinda Line of table accessories for Stelton.
