cc-tapis Feathers Rug

Feathers is a refined collection of rugs designed by Maarten De Ceulaer for CC-Tapis brand. Made entirely by hand in Himalayan wool and silk.

With this surprising series of carpets, the designer, with inspiration, has reworked years of study and passion for the ornithological world. To create each image, De Ceulaer scanned, isolated and digitally illustrated various species of birds, often reinventing abstract shapes and shades. The designs are then masterfully translated into unique and sophisticated rugs, hand-knotted in Himalayan wool and silk by expert Nepalese artisans. The sense of depth of these precious works is obtained by varying the height of the materials, thus creating an imaginary movement of feathers.

The Feathers collection consists of two elements: Feathers Round and Feathers Freeform.
