Metropolitan ’14 is the armchair with headrest designed by Jeffrey Bernett for B&B Italia. Available with fabric or leather upholstery and a swivel aluminium base, this model combines comfort, elegance and attention to detail, fitting naturally into contemporary living and lounge interiors.

The Metropolitan ’14 collection includes two models, a small armchair and an armchair, united by a coherent and refined aesthetic. In this version, the armchair with headrest stands out for its enveloping profile, balanced proportions and continuous surfaces, which emphasise its essential and sophisticated character. The line flows naturally between the seat and armrests, while the high backrest with integrated headrest enhances the feeling of comfort and support. Fully integrated into the structure, the seat cushion contributes to the overall harmony of the design. Discreet, tailored stitching highlights the armchair’s profile and reinforces its distinctive identity.

The internal frame is made of tubular steel and steel sections, with padding in cold flexible Bayfit® polyurethane foam, shaped polyurethane and a polyester fibre lining. The lumbar cushion and headrest are padded with polyester fibre and fitted with a cotton cover. The swivel base, made of cast and extruded aluminium, is available in brushed glossy or painted finish.
