Flutz is a chair designed by Michael Anastassiades for the Cassina brand. Clean, elegant lines design a rigorous metal frame that accommodates a comfortable and inviting seat.

The Flutz chair is the union of a rigid, geometric structure and a soft, comfortable seat. The metal frame in a matt finish is available in intense shades. The seat, upholstered in leather or removable fabric, provides a firm and comfortable support thanks to the shell wrapped in a soft padding encased in a recycled PET wadding cover. Available in two models: one with a high backrest and one with a low backrest. Thanks to the work carried out by Cassina LAB, Flutz is an environmentally friendly chair. In fact, all its component parts are designed to be disassembled and recycled at the end of the product's life cycle.

Michael Anastassiades is a Cypriot designer who founded his studio in 1994 in London to explore the contemporary notions of culture and aesthetics through a combination of products, furniture and environmental design. His creations are at the crossroad between industrial design and decorative art and are meant to provoke dialogue, participation and interaction with those who come in close contact whith them. Especially well known for his lighting production, Anastassiades combines simple geometric shapes such as tubes, oblongs and spheres with shiny surfaces and reflective materials, such as mirrored glass and polished bronze. His lights decorate hotels, restaurants and stores worldwide.
