Formula is the result of the challenge Eero Aarnio has had in mind for years: to combine the sculptural elements of his designs in fiberglass with ergonomic solutions for comfortable sitting, which are the most important aspects in his work on office chairs.
Eero Aarnio said that Formula was one of his best projects: Formula rocks slightly back and forth, a perfect seating to relax with a refreshing drink after a hard day's work.

Aarnio: "If you look at a car of Formula 1 there are two "arms" very large on both sides of the driver, and looking to the side there is a high headrest. If we imagine the same car without wheels, what remains is clear: the chair FORMULA. Both move even if the machine is faster."

Finnish designer Eero Aarnio (Helsinki, 1932) is one of the great innovators of the modern design of the twentieth century. Breaking with traditional patterns, Eero began in 1960 to experiment with plastic and its bright colors, thus presenting his ironic but at the same time balanced style. Timeless is the Ball Chair (1963), an armchair shaped in the shape of a ball and made of fiberglass, which together with Pastil (1968) and Bubble (1968) establish themselves as one of the most loved icons all over the world.
