Lando Gipsy High Sideboard - Ebony Oak Designed by Paola Navone

The Gipsy sideboard by Lando, designed by Paola Navone, is a storage unit that interprets the theme of memory through a cultured and material-driven design language, balancing distant inspirations with contemporary sensitivity.

The project stems from a conscious reinterpretation of traditional archetypes and recalls, in its volumes and proportions, the forms of ancient ice houses, reimagined with an essential and decisive gesture. Solid oak, treated with sandblasting and a hand-applied saw-cut finish, retains an authentic and intense presence, allowing grain and natural irregularities to emerge as part of the design. The surfaces convey a sense of living material, enhanced by craftsmanship that preserves the wood’s original character.

The structure is composed of four doors enclosing two full-width compartments, each equipped with an adjustable internal shelf, ensuring functionality and order without diminishing the expressive strength of the piece. Steel details with a silver-toned finish, from the custom-made hinges to the wooden latch closure, introduce a measured material contrast and evoke a historical, artisanal imagination. On request, the interior can be fitted with LED lighting, designed to highlight depth and the quality of the finishes.
