Gufram Guframini x MSCHF - Cut Pratone® Designed by Drocco & Mello

Gufram and MSCHF present two new limited editions of the Guframini®, miniaturised versions of iconic creations such as the Cactus and the Pratone. These 1:8 scale reproductions are faithful replicas of the famous domestic sculptures exhibited in the world's most prestigious museums. The mini Pratone retains its 42 soft stems, oriented in different directions, while the Cactus, designed by Guido Drocco and Franco Mello in 1972, is offered in a scaled-down version, retaining intact the details that have made it a symbol of radical design, including its 2165 distinctive ashlars.

The Brooklyn-based art collective MSCHF, known for its provocations in the fashion world, collaborated with Gufram to reinterpret some of its most emblematic works. The Pratone, ‘stripped down’ for the occasion, will be presented as Cut Pratone in the exhibition ‘Industry Plant’ at the Perrotin Gallery in New York. In another provocation, the 5G Cactus has been embellished with a bizarre 5G antenna among its branches, thus merging irony and innovation. This collaboration celebrates the encounter between Italian radical design and the irreverent spirit of the American collective.
