Cassina Hooptical Mirror Designed by Bethan Laura Wood

Hooptical is a collection of mirrors designed by Bethan Laura Wood for Cassina, in which handcrafted glass becomes a structural and decorative element. The mirrors are distinguished by a three-dimensional construction, composed of glass rings arranged on different levels, capable of altering the perception of the surface.

The backlighting system is developed on two levels: a perimeter light that defines the contours and a second, punctual one dedicated to the glass inserts. It is controlled by an integrated sensor, which enables switching on, switching off and adjusting the intensity. Each mirror can be installed in two orientations, offering great compositional freedom. The variety of glass details - natural, laminated or metallised - gives rise to different colour and material combinations. Twisted glass rings are obtained by hot-working rods on a curved rib, while jacketed rings incorporate coloured pigments within a transparent mass. Sections vary from cylindrical to square.

The collection is available exclusively with backlighting and supplied with a dedicated electrical plug.
