IC S2 belongs to a collection of ceiling, table and wall lamps designed by Michael Anastassiades for Flos. Opal blown glass diffuser and steel frame. Available in different finishes.
This collection stems from an idea designer Anastassiades had while watching a video of a juggler performing a dynamic number with balls. Anastassiades' creativity went a step further, "immobilising" the spheres to create this original line of lamps, in which the lighting body is elegantly suspended on a stand. The lamp creates a wonderful and cosy atmosphere, which succeeds in illuminating rooms with an enveloping and highly aesthetic note.

Michael Anastassiades is a Cypriot designer who founded his studio in 1994 in London to explore the contemporary notions of culture and aesthetics through a combination of products, furniture and environmental design. His creations are at the crossroad between industrial design and decorative art and are meant to provoke dialogue, participation and interaction with those who come in close contact whith them. Especially well known for his lighting production, Anastassiades combines simple geometric shapes such as tubes, oblongs and spheres with shiny surfaces and reflective materials, such as mirrored glass and polished bronze. His lights decorate hotels, restaurants and stores worldwide.
