Designed by Ferruccio Laviani for Kartell, the Kabuki Outdoor floor lamp is a neobaroque-inspired project conceived for outdoor use. Made of transparent or batch-dyed technopolymer thermoplastic, it integrates a 220–240V LED light source designed for outdoor environments.
The distinctive perforated surface takes shape through advanced injection-molding technology. Even outdoors, light passes through the structure, creating soft effects of light and shadow that enhance the space with a welcoming and refined atmosphere.
Kabuki Outdoor is made of thermoplastic polymer with carbon fiber, a material chosen to ensure strength and durability in outdoor settings. With a diameter of 50 cm and a height of 166 cm, it features an integrated 26W LED, 2700K color temperature, with dimmer and IP44 protection rating.
Designed for terraces, gardens, and covered outdoor spaces, Kabuki accompanies the environment with balanced, adjustable lighting suitable for everyday outdoor use.
Placed near outdoor seating, lounge areas, or relaxation zones, the Kabuki Outdoor floor lamp helps create an intimate and well-curated atmosphere. Designed by Ferruccio Laviani
Born in Cremona in 1960, Ferruccio Laviani is a famous Italian designer who works in the field of architecture, product design, interior design, art direction and graphic. After studying at Politecnico of Milan, he graduated in 1986. Later, in 1991 he opened his first studio in Milan and the same year he became the art director of Kartell. He worked in this role also for Flos, De Padova, Foscarini, Moroso, Society (Limonta) and Emmemobili. His style, his way of conceiving art and design brings him to realize extra-ordinary works, such as Bourgie lamp realized by Kartell, Considered one of the timeless best sellers, perfect mix among tradition, innovation and a glimpse of irony. Both Bourgie lamps and Take lamps are part of the permanent collection of the Art Museum of Indianapolis in the USA. Other products are shown in museums and international exhibitions. Today Laviani still works for numerous prestigious brands spreading his design uniqueness worldwide.
