Artek Lucius Candleholder

The Lucius candleholder created by COMPANY for Artek brand is inspired by the feast of Saint Lucia. On December 13th Saint Lucia brings the light into the darkest day of the year, thousands of girls dressed in white, wear a crown of flowers and candles and take part in a very suggestive procession. The Lucius candleholder is part of Artek's FIN / JPN Friendship Collection launching at Salone de Mobile, Milan in April 2019 which features Japanese and Finnish designers, architects and craftsmen. The Secrets of Finland collection consists of six handmade ceramic pieces, sand coloured matt glaze, each one representing a seasonal ritual from the Finnish calendar.
