Lorenzo Frau left Sardinia for England to pursue military service and there he fell in love with design. He discovered Chesterfield sofas and armchairs, started to import this model in Italy and went on to found his own artisan production laboratory. Chester was born, inspired by the original capitonnée decoration, symbol of the artisan virtuosity of a changing and unstable age.
A veritable Italian pride, Chester is enhanced by its details: the finely embroidered upholstery is enriched by the plissé of the armrests, creating a comfortable oasis, an elegant corner which provides intimacy and peace.
