Fritz Hansen celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Egg chair with a special collection
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Egg™, Swan™ and Drop™ chairs, created in 1958 by , Fritz Hansen launches an exclusive collection of iconic products in limited edition.
The special line recovers a timeless design enriching it with precious finishes and, in addition to the mentioned seats, includes the Kaiser Idell lamp designed by Christian Dell, the Pouf by Cecilie Manz, the Merino Throw by Fritz Hansen and the Egg footstool.
The project gathers new versions of the famous chairs, originally created for the SAS Royal Hotel, that now are embellished with precious materials: Pure leather, the soft Sera wool and a 23 karat gold coated base.
Sober, elegant and precious atmospheres dominate the settings conceived by Fritz Hansen, using these furnishings with a contemporary charm and a unique design. The choice of pure materials allows a high level of customization, as the Pure leather which represents a multi-sensorial experience with a high visual and tactile involvement. Over time, this refined product becomes darker, acquiring a more vintage and exciting appearance.
With their ergonomic curves the modern Egg ™, Swan ™ and Drop ™ chairs express the concept of comfort combined with the style that characterizes Arne Jacobsen's creations. Sophisticated details complete the profile of a collection whose items have made the history of design and continue to fascinate everyone.
The Egg ™ and Swan ™ chairs are available in limited editions up to 1958 pieces each while stocks last. A special leather engraving attests their authenticity. While the Drop ™ chair, the Kaiser Idell floor lamp and the accessories will be available until December 31, 2018.
