In 1965 Simon & Garfunkel sang "The Sound of Silence", the wonderful song that a couple of years later was featured in the memorable soundtrack of "The Graduate". Today, if we were to speak of the Sound of Design, the choice would fall on three international companies that have managed to combine excellent acoustic performance with elegant and sophisticated lines: the Swiss Geneva Lab, the Danish Vifa, the Italian Brionvega.

Their products blend technology, innovation, style, sustainability and simplicity. The idea behind their design is to gife life to an all-in-one system with full-range stereo speakers, CD player, FM radio, inputs for external devices, dock for iPod / iPhone, a stereo subwoofer and digital amplifiers (depending on the model). A single system that can meet everybody's needs, music lovers, design-addicted, iPhone-users, ensuring excellent sound quality.

Geneva Lab was the first company to couple an iPod dock in the high-end stereo system. While with conventional audio systems you have to find the best position for listening (the so-called "sweet spot"), with Geneva you won't have to, since the distance between the left and right speaker is the same, whatever your position in the environment, ensuring an excellent three-dimensional stereo sound. You can get up, move around, sit on the couch, without losing sound quality.

From small mobile devices to large home theaters, the Geneva range includes a variety of items with different sizes and finishes, joined by a geometric and linear shape that makes them perfect for modern and contemporary environments. The cabinets, in hand-painted walnut, are manufactured by selected craftsmen. Each piece takes about a week of work, during which carpenters and painters demonstrate their skills in the attention to detail.

Vifa's wireless speakers are also characterised by an artisanal approach. These hi-tech gems are embellished by Kvadrat fabrics. Available in various colors to suit any décor and distinguished by clean lines, typical of the Nordic style, the Vifa collections recall the name of Scandinavian capitals. Such as Copenhagen, coated with organic wool by Kvadrat, compatible with iOS and Android, and awarded a Red Dot Award, an iF Product Design Award and a Good Design Award.

Helsinki is even more compact but keeps the same sound quality. With its portable size and crystal clear sound it sets new standards and horizons. The water repellent coating by Kvadrat and the precious leather strap allow the use of Helsinki even in outdoor environments.

The unique beauty of vintage made in Italy meets digital performances in Brionvega cult products, ideal for those who are looking for a sound system with a "Pop" touch. Think of "cube", the radio receiver TS522, a new interpretation of the legendary TS502 designed in 1964 by Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper and exhibited in major museums of contemporary art. Portable and also available with an LCD display, it is an object with a long story to tell.

Radio Grattacielo came a year later, in 1965, when Zanuso decided to redisgn RadioCubo adding a highly innovative vertical setting. It can be positioned either horizontally or vertically, depending on your needs, and connected to any device via the USB port.
