IMM Cologne 2018, the international interiors show
Interior design lovers and professionals in the sector of furniture meet at IMM Cologne 2018. It is the first date with design in January, from 15 to 21. New trends and products signed by the best international brands and many events celebrate the world of design: this is the scenario of Cologne’s fair. This year the Das Haus, which is the ideal home that every year is created by different designers, is conceived by Lucie Koldova, Creative Director of Brokis’group.
With over 1200 exhibitors from around 50 countries, IMM Cologne presents the lines of the home in 2018. The combination of different styles is a winning choice: a blend of ethnic and modern, luxury furnishings combined with essential elements or classic materials like marble and leather together with dynamic designs and rough fabrics. In addition to Ultra Violet, Pantone Color of the year 2018, all the shades of Greenery survive, showing increased interest of the most important brands towards sustainable production. Vitra celebrates the 50th anniversary of the iconic Panton Chair, proposing two new editions: the Panton Chrome and the Panton Glow chairs. The seat was presented at IMM Cologne exactly in 1968.
The stand of , designed by Vincent Van Duysen, recreates the interior of a home in which different areas communicate with each other harmoniously. The Gliss Master and Master Dressing stand out inside the night zone.
B&B Italia brings to IMM Cologne the usual elegance of its collections: a refined fascination like the Bay line of outdoor chairs signed by Doshi Levien and the Fiore series of tables by Naoto Fukasawa.
The exhibition area of Living Divani, ideated by Piero Lissoni, proposes 5 settings in which new versions of its products live together with the 2018 novelties.
confirms the project presented at Milano Design Week, offering a representation of the modern home and focusing on all the spaces.
The Origami Octagonal table, signed by Gino Carollo for , mesmerizes everyone thanks to its octagonal table-top.
The Utrecht armchair, designed by Gerrit T. Rietveld for Cassina, dresses up with an unsual upholstery.
The settings of Gallotti&Radice show a refined fascination, the Bolle suspension lamp and the Haumea coffee table are on the spotlight.
Giorgetti combines the Emperador marble of the Mizar table by Giorgetti with the Elisa armchair to create an elegant atmosphere.
Define by Wendelbo is a seating system with a multifunctional design and a captivating aesthetics.
Finally, Poltrona Frau leads in Germany a new version of the Let it be sofa realized by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba, in the stand designed by Michele De Lucchi.
