Tom Dixon , a young English brand founded in 2002, has clear ideas in design. If you take a look to 2015 collection, you will immediately realise it: it has lucky moments that lead to extraordinary objects for everyday use. By Tom Dixon’s inspiration, the colour takes shape into lamps, sofas, chairs and ottomans by strong and never boring character.

We had the chance to see a preview of what's new in 2015 at the Salone del Mobile and at the September edition of Maison & Objet in Paris and our mascot, Tommaso, was very amused to try Wingback chair.

Wingback line has been totally renovated: inspired by the classic English club chairs of the seventeenth century, has now a contemporary and current style more than ever. The first set was designed for an English club in 2007, to celebrate the English tradition of the upholstered furniture. The series 2015, however, has a more rounded and curvy style, has new copper legs, and is available in many colors and finishes. Also, the price is more competitive.

Tom Dixon is also an acclaimed light designer: in his catalog there are innovative lighting works for home and contract areas, such as Melt, Etch Web, and Plane Chandelier.

Melt is a very particular pendant lamp: a distorted and translucent sphere, reminiscent of soap bubbles, in three different finishes (gold, copper, silver). It lights up a room also if it’s turned off thanks to its delicate metallic highlights, which enhance the living or dining room, even under natural light. It’s also available in mini version, with a smaller diameter.

Etch Web is a pendant lamp too but with a more geometric and mathematical style: its pentagonal mesh creates striking patterns of light and shadow in brass or steel. Etch Web enriches the Etch collection, which includes the Shade and Tea Light Holder lines.

Plane Chandelier completes Plane collection, with a chandelier in brass-plated steel by important presence and strong character. It has a geometric but well-structured intrinsic simplicity: it has eighteen double layer white glass spheres distributed over four levels, reminiscent of the majesty of the chandelier of the past, revisited with a contemporary style. It needs wide spaces to enhance its structure.
