Geometric textures divide volume and connect spaces
DVDV studio celebrates movement connecting two unities in Milan’s outskirts through demolition of divisory walls, operating on vertical volumes and building a new internal staircase as project core.
A suspended walkway, connected to the staircase, becomes protagonist in reorganizing the space: light but important, its function it is not structural yet functional to the usage of the whole project volume. The customer can live the rooms as if they were one, the only partition walls are those of the master bedroom and the studio made of glass, but if necessary obscured by large sliding curtains.
The recurrent motive of the apartment is a circular and accordion shaped geometric texture: it is present in the structural details as in the choice of the customised and non-customised design. Mohd contributed to this project in choosing evergreen design.
