"Moooi leads the understanding of culture, human needs and technology. It contributes by creating the most successful innovative design-collection ever and creates unprecedented value and opportunity for its customers, employees, investors and partners. This is our challenge and vision and we ask you to hold us to it and help us realise it."

Amazing, inspiring, surprising: Moooi  knows how to seduce and dare, dragging in a swirling kaleidoscope of colors, shapes and  surreal ideas. An unexpected world (unexpected welcome): it’s how to get in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland and come out with rabbit-lamps, colorful cupboards, effect smoke armchairs, chess tables, cabinets in colored papier mache.

And if there was one Mad Hatter in the story of Alice, Moooi has two: Marcel Wanders  and Casper Vissers, the co-founder of the brand in 2001. Marcel and Casper complement each other: Marcel, the obstinate, passionate art director and designer with a nose for business and Casper, the motivated marketer with a keen eye for design.

Moooi, Dutch brand of interior design, takes its name from the Dutch word "mooi" which means beauty; the third "or" adds an extra value, in terms of beauty and uniqueness. Last January Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers have regained 100% of Moooi, buying missing shares from B&B Italia  (in 2006 B&B Italia had acquired 50% of shares).

Moooi exports to 69 countries worldwide, and is constantly expanding and accelerating. With a showroom in Amsterdam and one in London, Moooi will soon open its doors in New York, followed by a brand store in London.

In addition to the creativity of Marcel Wanders, Moooi has in its portfolio designers as Bertjan Pot, Maarten Baas, Jaime Hayon, Front, Studio Job and Nika Zupanc. The result is a unique style, fun, quirky and never boring, in some ways experimental but always exclusive: the core of Moooi is drawing objects of timeless beauty, combining the style of the past with the freshness of  the modernity.

The lighting design of Moooi has something of visionary and eclectic: we have already talked about Prop Light by Bertjan Pot, the so versatile lamps that it’s  impossible, according to the same Pot, to imagine an interior where they are not suitable (“We find it very hard to imagine an interior where this prop is not in place”).

Bertjan Pot is also the designer of successful collection Random Light , a series of contemporary lamps with a particular story: the first lamp is born by a resin wire that coiled randomly around an inflated ball, producing a translucent 3D fabric.

The Raimond  is a collection of suspension lamps of Raimond Puts, the man who brought the starry sky into our homes. The Raimond are perfect metal balls, dotted with Led (Led it be): the perfect integration between beauty and functionality.

Nina Zupanc has instead created the collection Lolita : very feminine floor, table and suspension lamps, perfect for contemporary Alice. These lamps have a  very poetic style, that stands for Elle USA and Business Week definition of punk elegance and techno chic.

Three women also for the group Front, who designed for Moooi the Rabbit  lamp: a lamp shaped like a rabbit, in natural size, as in a stylish fairy tale. Who would not want a rabbit lamp to light up the living? In the same family there are also the Pig table and the Horse floor lamp, life-size animalsin polyester: your home will have nothing to envy to Wonderland.

Iconic and natural at the same time, the Corks stools by Jasper Morrison  will make you dream a tea in the woods: made in cork agglomerate, they’re also perfect as a side table.

Studio Job  has realized for Moooi the carpet Afrique: a lawn of branched leaves, where everything can happen. Familiar yet mysterious, Afrique completes the living with its textures inspired by the African jungle.

Moooi awaits you during the Milan Design Week to present the new collection 2015: furniture and light complement so intimately connected to make your home even more beautiful!

"Here to create an environment of love, live with passion and make our most exciting dreams come true." - Marcel Wanders
