Mati is a collection of wooden trays designed by Sebastian Herkner for the Zanat brand.

Mati is an elegant collection of wooden trays that seem to float in the air, but are supported by three hand-carved solid wood feet. The cellular structure of wood observed at a microscopic level is what inspired the designer Sebastian Herkner for the creation of this collection. Available in two different sizes and three different wood finishes.

Designed by Sebastian Herkner

A curious and diligent student of the University of Offenbach for the Arts and Design, Sebastian Herkner fell in love with new technologies combined with traditional craftsmanship. On this way, he develops a deep interest into materials, colors, textures and his care is visible in any detail. In 2006 he founds a studio in Offenbach and begins important collaborations with companies such as Moroso and ClassiCon. Herkner stands out for interesting interior design projects, exhibitions and museums, and his talent is rewarded with awards such as the German Design Award in 2011.
