Matic is the most contemporary modular sofa system designed by Piero Lissoni for Knoll. It is made up of modules, including chaises longues and terminal peninsula units, to provide seats upholstered with evenly-sized squares, or detailed with a T-shaped seam, combined with a special curved backrest. The front profile is the distinctive detail of the project, in aluminium with a shiny finish or charcoal painted finish or upholstered in fabric or leather. The feet are in aluminium fusion, with either a shiny finish or charcoal painted.

Matic's design idea is inspired by an island, conceived as a platform suspended in space. The low and linear seats are embellished with capitonné details, while the backrests and armrests are not only aesthetic but also synonymous with technology. In fact, they can be shaped thanks to an internal mechanism that can be turned, offering structural support and comfort for relaxing, reading or conversation. The rigorous and stable frame provides a strong structural set-up.
Lightness and formal elegance come together to develop a new concept of comfort that has always distinguished the Knoll character. The Matic collection fits discreetly into any context, ideal for the home or for contract environments, it is the protagonist with its decisive yet discreet character.
