Designed by Vittorio Nobili in 1956, the Medea chair embodies a perfect balance of form and function. Its curved, enveloping shell, which plays harmoniously with solids and voids, was awarded the Honourable Mention at the Compasso d'Oro, rewarding its refined aesthetics and ergonomic comfort.

In the version Medea Kiss Me Tiger, designed by Dimorestudio, Medea is enriched with a cosy padding and an exclusive fabric, the result of a skilful combination of yarns of different thicknesses. The alternation of matt and iridescent finishes creates a dynamic visual effect, emphasised by the bold graphic pattern. The matt black-painted iron legs, embellished with gold-coloured tips and fitted with non-slip rubber pads, add a touch of sophisticated elegance.

Medea's workmanship is rooted in the historical craftsmanship tradition of Brianza, where the company of the same name has been refining the bentwood technique since the 1950s. Initially specialising in the production of television casings, it later found its place in the furniture sector, contributing to the creation of pieces that have become symbols of Italian design. Today, thanks to the collaboration with Dimorestudio, the Medea chair is reissued by recovering the original moulds and reinterpreting them in a contemporary key. The new collection offers sophisticated finishes, from the most refined wood essences to modern lacquers and exclusive textile upholstery. A wide range of variants that makes Medea a versatile and distinctive solution, perfect for domestic environments and contract spaces.
