Nelson Saucer Bubble is a special suspension lamp designed by the famous designer George Nelson and produced by the brand Hay.
The Nelson Saucer Bubble suspension’s wide surface area diffuses soft light into any interior. It comes with a steel ceiling plate, which allows it to delicately float overhead. George Nelson originally designed the Bubble Lamp series in 1952, inspired by a set of silk-covered Swedish hanging lamps.

Designed by George Nelson
George Nelson, architect and designer, was born in 1908 in Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated in architecture from Yale University and perfects his training at the American Academy in Rome. Became famous for his innovative publications, has introduced the concept of "family room". Thus begins his collaboration with the company Herman Miller and subsequently Vitra in 1957 and soon became a key figure in American design and a founding father of modernism USA. His works, functional and fanciful, are immortal and exhibited in design museums around the world. He died in New York City in 1986.
