Serralunga is one of the oldest family-owned businesses Italian industrial design. The company was founded in 1825 in Biella, and for nearly two centuries produced entirely in Italy and at the same site. The history of Serralunga is a history of research and passion for technology, testing and manufacturing tradition in the production of vases, accessories and lighting. Imports from the United States system of rotational molding creates a revolution in Serralunga that, in 1959, introduces the injection molding of plastics, and in 1980 thanks to the industrial process for objects to use furniture, begins production in plastic jar handmade terracotta.
