"Nuovo Milano" is a collection that has received many awards and prizes including the Compasso d'Oro in 1989. The style of this collection has become a classic, generated after a lot of research on the different thicknesses of the bodies of the cutlery. Each piece is polished like a stone in the sea. New Milan comes in an elegant packaging, with graphic signed by Christoph Radl. Greta gift idea!

Designed by Ettore Sottsass

Ettore Sottsass Jr was born in Innsbruck in 1917 by a homonymous father and an Austrian mother. In 1939 he graduated in architecture from the Politecnico di Torino. Architect, designer and photographer, Sottsass were among the most influential figures of radical design. In 1957 he became Art Director for the brand Poltronova, creating some of their iconic pieces such as the Ultrafragola mirror. In 1981 he founded the Memphis group, an Italian design and architecture collective distinguished by the use of bright colours and eccentric geometrical figures.
