nanimarquina Oblique Rug Designed by Matthew Hilton

Based on a design by British designer Matthew Hilton, the Oblique Rug was presented at the Salone del Mobile 2023 by the brand Nanimarquina.

The Oblique Rug was created with the intention of encapsulating the contemporary conceptualisation of the tradition of overlapping rugs in a few features. The illusionistic effect is achieved through the juxtaposition of oblique squares with different pile heights, creating a geometric delicate effect while maintaining a monochrome aesthetic and playing with shadows and volumes. Perfect for minimalist interiors, Oblique's elegance makes it highly versatile and therefore suitable for any context. The proposed colour palette ranges from neutral to pastel, which create bright, harmonious and contemporary spaces: a mineral grey, a warm white, a delicate pink and a solid yellow.
