Orsa is a family of suspension lamps designed by the Foster & Partners team for Artemide.
Orsa has a precise and elegant design with essential elements. The Orsa suspension consists of a flared metal shank on one end to form the heat sink and the housing for the LED, with a methacrylate cover that houses the LED source. The methacrylate cover design ensures that the light source remains invisible, giving it a futuristic appearance. The Foster + Partners industrial design team has experimented with various materials, surfaces and optics to achieve the desired lighting effect and volume. An elegant and minimalist object, Orsa is designed as a single piece or as part of a larger ensemble.
