Ligne Roset Oxydation Occasional Table

Oxydation is an occasional table with op in oxidized metal (treated with acid then heated) and base in Tuscan stone), designed by Kateryna Sokolova for Ligne Roset.

This collection of tables draws inspiration from contemporary architecture, sculpture and research into the materials used, in particular the natural properties of oxidization. It is thus a case of combining ‘sustainable’ materials such as stone or metal and making them into an architectural shape. The Oxydation tables combine a simple shape with a complicated texture. They are a mix of traditional techniques and highly advanced technologies. As it oxidizes, metal can bring some unexpected results: each table is naturally unique and one will certainly discover a myriad of variations in itsoxidized top.
