Hay Pao Steel Floor Lamp Designed by Naoto Fukasawa

Pao Steel is a collection of lamps designed by the designer Naoto Fukasawa, 2022 and produced by the elegant brand Hay. The lampshade of this collection is made of stamped steel with a glossy wet spry finish, diffuser in injection-molded opalescent acrylic (PMMA) and steel parts with a powder-coated finish. The Pao lamp collection is an exciting collaboration with established Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. Named after the soft, luminous shape of traditional Mongolian Pao tents lit at night, Fukasawa decided to encapsulate the same atmospheric warmth and friendliness in the Pao Steel lamp. Pao draws on the aesthetics of Fukasawa's beautiful simplicity; creating an everyday object that draws on the design values ​​existing in the natural world. Keeping the aesthetic modest and simple, it brings the design into harmony with its environment, reinforcing its primary intention of making the atmosphere pleasant and comfortable. Designed for use with two standard replaceable retrofit LED bulbs. The functionality of the lamp and the deliberate simplicity of the design make it suitable for a wide range of spaces and uses in domestic and corporate environments.
