Available in 3/4 weeksPassiflora Table Lamp is an exquisite lighting fixture by Poltronova. This design piece is rooted in the innovative spirit of Radical Design, embodying both natural and artificial aesthetics.
The Passiflora Table Lamp was initially inspired by a painted cardboard prototype for the "Superarchitettura" exhibition. Its transformation into a light-permeable design enhances its ability to create a warm, ambient glow in various spaces. The lamp's form, reminiscent of a truncated column, gracefully balances between organic and manufactured elements, making it an intriguing centerpiece in living areas or contemporary workspaces. Its elegant shape fits seamlessly into a range of interiors, from minimalistic to modern eclectic, offering both functional lighting and artistic appeal.
Passiflora plays a vital role in the legacy of the 1966 "Superarchitettura" exhibition by embodying the Radical Design movement's essence. It reflects the "Invention Design and Evasion Design" philosophy of Superstudio, characterized by a playful ambiguity. The lamp’s historical significance and imaginative design echo the avant-garde energy of its era, making it not just a lighting choice, but a conversation piece enriched with cultural narrative.

Florence-based Superstudio, founded in 1966 by architects Adolfo Natalini and Cristiano Toraldo di Francia, ranks among the most acclaimed and influential Radical Design groups. It was later joined by Roberto Magris, Alessandro Magris, Gianpiero Frassinelli and Alessandro Poli. Superstudio has designed chairs, sofas, stools, desks, tables and accessories with visionary approach, such as Zanotta's Quaderna collection and Poltronova's Sofo.
Poltronova since 1957 loves to amaze with its unusual design, establishing itself as one of the most revolutionary and important realities in the furnishing sector of the Sixties to the present day. Founded by Sergio Cammilli in Agliana, Tuscany, it immediately stands out for its originality and its extraordinary team of designers: from the great masters like Ettore Sottsass who was its art director, Gae Aulenti, Paolo Portoghesi, Giovanni Michelucci, Angelo Mangiarotti, the Archizoom, the Superstudio and De Pas – D'Urbino – Lomazzi to the protagonists of the “Nuovo Design” which were then called radicals. Among the most famous products, the Joe armchair and the Superonda Poltronova modular sofa are considered works of art in the world of design, real icons to place in the domestic spaces and beyond. Since 2005, the Centro Studi Poltronova was born, with the aim of building an archive of important documents relating to the historic Poltronova brand and at the same time continuing to edit its most famous products. Mohd is Poltronova's official partner.
