Molteni&C Piroscafo Bookcase Designed by Luca Meda-Aldo Rossi

Piroscafo is an iconic bookcase designed by Aldo Rossi and Luca Meda for the Molteni & C. brand. Structure and base in the painted hollow-core panel, doors with an external frame formed by two sheets coupled on two polystyrene shells and 4 mm clear glass, shelves in wood or 12 mm extra-clear tempered glass.

Aldo Rossi and Luca Meda were inspired by the headquarters of the Umbria Region in Perugia, a large façade marked by the regular rhythm of the windows. A perfect geometric order reproduced on a bookcase that has become a status symbol of international design over the years. Piroscafo is an elegant and striking bookcase window with a matt lime white, platinum, or anthracite lacquered façade combined with a lacquered structure in the same shade.
