The Plié wall unit from Util, designed by From Industrial Design, is constructed from powder coated aluminium and available in several finishes.

Plié brings clarity and rhythm to storage. The unit’s modular format enables alignment with various spatial compositions, standing alone or forming larger arrangements across walls. Its presence is measured, offering balance rather than visual weight, making it well-suited for both private interiors and public settings. The material lends precision and resilience, while finish variations allow subtle visual calibration to context and atmosphere.

The design stems from the ongoing collaboration between Cesare Bizzotto and Tobias Nitsche, whose practice is rooted in essentialism and technical refinement. After meeting at ECAL, their focus has remained on rethinking everyday objects through an industrial lens. Created for Lisbon-based Util—known for utilitarian clarity and refined construction—Plié was recognized with the German Design Award in 2019 for its uncompromising simplicity and thoughtful modularity.
