Proust is an iconic armchair designed by Alessandro Mendini and produced by the Cappellini brand. Hand-painted wooden frame, fixed cover in multicoloured fabric, which picks up the decoration of the frame. Feet in transparent plastic. Available in two variants.

With its romantic and baroque design, the Proust Chair is based on the original 1978 design. After 30 years, the Proust Chair is still a timeless piece of design, an 'industrial' Pop-style work of art. Proust first appeared in the late 1970s, a decade marked by architectural experimentation. The occasion was an exhibition at the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara, and from then on it won the approval of critics and the public alike. Proust becomes the absolute protagonist of the environment, capturing the attention from whatever perspective it is observed.

Proposed in two colour versions, multicolour blue/grey/yellow (PR_1) and multicolour black/green/red (PR_2).
