Ibride Qing Service Plates - River

Qing is part of the Faux Semblants collection, in which function and form overlap to generate an object that gradually reveals itself. Special vase enclosing a set of plates and bowls by Ibride.

Behind the appearance of a vase inspired by Chinese dynasties is a stackable table service consisting of four soup plates and four bowls. Each element is decorated with a signed illustration by Rachel Convers, available in two variations: Alhambra, which recalls the plant motifs of the Andalusian palace of the same name, and River, which interprets the flow of an intimate narrative through drawing. When closed, Qing takes on a sculptural presence, suitable for display on a table or buffet. It is made of food-grade melamine by a manufacturer in Thailand, with a hand-polished finish that enhances its texture and grip. The material withstands shocks and high temperatures, maintaining the surface even after numerous dishwasher washings. The set is delivered in a gift box.

The River version is inspired by a passage from the Chinese novel The Dream of the Red Chamber, where love is evoked as the only possible choice among infinite paths: “弱水三千,只取一瓢”-among a thousand waters, only one is needed.
