Réaction Poétique is a collection of objects by Jamie Hayon for Cassina. Made in solid black-painted ashwood.

Réaction Poétique is a collection of objects inspired by Le Corbusier’s paintings and sculptures. Four centrepieces, a tray and two side tables, all exclusively created in solid black-painted ashwood. The objects, contained in special packaging, are authenticated and come with a descriptive booklet. Wood is a natural material subject to changes, these are determined by external factors such as sunlight, temperature, humidity, everyday. These changes are not considered a defect, but the characteristic of the material that underline its natural beauty.

Designed by Jaime Hayon

Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974 and as a teenager he was into skateboarding and graffiti art. He went on to study industrial design between Spain and France and after that he was admitted to Fabrica, the Benetton-funded design and communication academy in Italy, where he later directed the design department until 2003. In 2000 he set up his own studio and since 2003 he has fully devoted himself to his personal projects, becoming one of the most accalaimed designers worldwide. Time magazine included him as one of the 100 most relevant creators of our times and Wallpaper* magazine has awarded his innovative style listing him as "Breakthrough Creator".
