Rey Bar Stool by Hay is based on the iconic design of Bruno Rey, the Swiss designer who in 1971 produced the iconic Rey Chair with the Dietiker brand, which made design history in the last century.

Rey Bar Stool takes up Bruno Rey's traditional design, enhancing the metal-wood union thanks to the silhouette characterised by the individuality of each leg and re-proposes the charm of the Rey Chair in the curved and rounded shape of the backrest. Tall, slender and light, the lines of the Rey Stool are essential and versatile, suitable for any context, whether public or private. Its simplicity is also capable of giving a retro 70s touch to your home, in a discreet and elegant way.

High stool with beech backrest. Seat and backrest of moulded plywood with beech top and outer veneer. Legs made of solid beech. Steel chromed footrest. Available in 3 colours. Seat height: 75 cm. Feet appropriate for wooden floors.

Designed by Bruno Rey

Born in 1935 in Brugg, in Switzerland, Bruno Rey was an important Swiss designer. He studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule design school in Zurich, where he met important figures such as Willy Guhl and in 1968 he opened his own design and architecture studio. The designer is famous for his Ray chair, which stands for its screw-free frame and rounged edges, put in production by the Hay brand and reissued in collaboration with the Dietiker furniture company. The designer died in 2019.
