Designed by Draga & Aurel for the brand Baxter, Scarlet Twill is a rug totally handmade and produced with precious wool, with the “pot-dyeing” technique, an ancient art that reminds to secular traditions.

Scarlet is a rub by the vintage design, with its knots and its selvedges. This rug is produced with the "Talim" tradition, a sort of intoned cod: any given note coincides with a knot and prevents any possible misinterpretation of the loom. The finishing process is very elaborate: after the first shave and the handwash, every single rug is handled in order to create a unique product: a skilled craftsman works on the surface with scissors, wearing out on purpose some sections of the rug, according to an expert’s instructions The result is that each piece is a unique example, a piece of art in your home.
