Model 121 Dining Chair by Cassina is an iconic piece of furniture created by Afra & Tobia Scarpa in 1965, inspired by an icon of Italian architecture.



Model 121 Dining Chair has a unique and visionary design, inspired by an original sketch by Carlo Scarpa which was reworked by his son Tobia and Afra, resulting in a piece of furniture that can complement both classic and avant-garde interiors. The seat and backrest are anatomically modelled in plywood, upholstered in fine leather and bolted onto crossbars along the central part to ensure great comfort. The Model 121 Dining Chair together with the Model 925 Lounge Chair from 1966 are two exemplary designs of Afra and Tobia Scarpa's style and work, as they share the same double trestle structure with distinctive rounded joints.
