Reacting against the '' age friendly 'dominating Denmark at that time, Bonderup and Thorup wanted to create a lamp that incorporated sharp clean lines and a geometric shape. Their design has been submitted to a competition at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture, where he won the first premio.Semi is a pendant lamp only, based on two quarter circles put together back-to-back.
