Paola Lenti Shibui Suspended Platform Designed by Francesco Rota

Born in 1966, Francesco Rota is an Italian interior and product designer. Born in Milan, the city where he lives and works, he studied industrial design at the Art Center College of Design in La Tour de Peilz in Switzerland. In 1998, he opened his first studio dealing with various projects in the field of design: products, furnishings, lighting, showrooms, offices, homes and fittings. In 2004 he became a lecturer at the IED as part of the Master Research Study Program in Industrial Design, in collaboration with Magis. Since 2013 he is the art director of Lapalma. His style is based on the concepts of simplicity, comfort, functionality, typical of Italian design. Often inspired by the concepts of industrial production, he creates products characterized by pure, elegant shapes and vivid colors, going beyond the boundaries of time, trends and fashion. This makes his works original and much appreciated, not surprisingly Rota boasts of having won numerous awards and of having participated in numerous exhibitions in different parts of the world.
