BD Barcelona Design Showtime Chair - 4 Legs Designed by Jaime Hayon

The Showtime Chair, designed by Jaime Hayon for BD Barcelona, was launched in 2017 as the designer’s first chair produced internationally. Since then, it has remained a consistent presence in the BD catalogue, valued for its balance between formal character and everyday usability. The current edition refines the original with a simplified structure, softer lines, and an extended range of finishes.

The seat is made of beech plywood, offered in natural veneer or stained colours, with fixed padding in resilient polyurethane foam, upholstered in BD’s fabrics and leathers. The backrest, available in both low and high versions, is also crafted in beech plywood, either plain or with an upholstered inner cushion.

The base comes in three configurations: swivel in tubular iron and die-cast aluminium, also available with casters; or a fixed four-leg metal frame, offered with both backrest heights. All versions come in three powder-coated finishes: Dark Brown RAL 8019, Bluish Grey RAL 5008, and Beige RAL 1015.

Durable and adaptable, the Showtime Chair moves seamlessly between dining rooms, offices, restaurants, cafés, and hybrid environments, while preserving the unmistakable identity that established it as a BD icon.
