Vitra Slow Chair Ottoman / Fabric Designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec

The Slow Chair Ottoman, designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Vitra, was conceived as an extension of the Slow Chair, introduced in 2006 and now recognized as a milestone of contemporary design. Created to complete the seating experience, the ottoman follows the same design language, ensuring visual consistency with the armchair and the Slow Sofa. The collection is thus enriched by an element that combines function and formal harmony, naturally adapting to both modern and more traditional interiors.

Its construction is based on the same principle: a stretch fabric that wraps the tubular steel frame, ensuring lightness and aesthetic continuity. The Ottoman, also available in the new Flocca fabric version (cat. F80), is designed to provide balanced support for the legs, enhancing comfort and reinforcing the relaxing dimension of the Slow Chair.

The padding in polyester fibers and recycled PET reflects Vitra’s commitment to sustainability, aligning the project with contemporary needs. Together with the armchair, the Slow Chair Ottoman invites one to take time, creating a welcoming space to rest, stretch out, and let go of the pace of everyday life.
