Vitra Slow Sofa / Fabric Designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec

The Slow Sofa, designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Vitra, is conceived as a natural continuation of the exploration initiated with the Slow Chair. The same construction principle – an elastic fabric stretched over a tubular steel frame – is here reinterpreted in the dimension of a sofa, resulting in a seat that combines visual lightness with structural solidity.

The Slow Sofa is available with the Flocca fabric (cat. F80), whose matte surface adds a denser material presence while preserving the essential character of the lines. This balance between transparency and materiality defines the strength of the collection, capable of integrating seamlessly into both contemporary settings and more classic interiors, while retaining a consistent and recognizable identity.

A distinctive feature of the project is the complete cushion set, designed to shape comfort and posture. The structure includes three Vitra Cushions in sizes 40 × 30 cm, 65 × 30 cm, and 60 × 40 cm, along with two headrest cushions that complete the composition. This arrangement provides differentiated support, suitable for moments of conversation or relaxation.

Its measured proportions and soft configuration invite one to slow down, turning the Slow Sofa into a calm focal point within the living space.
