Le Corbusier is one of the most revolutionary and important fathers of modern architecture and design.
The designer was born in Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, in 1887. From buildings to furnishings, all Le Corbusier’s pieces favor extremely simple forms, based on functional logic. Sometimes his continuous research touched the opposite extremes of a conspicuous plastic language. His career was marked by a long and fruitful collaboration with his cousin Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. He passed away in 1965 in Cap Martin, France, but his creations will live forever.
