Vitra Standard Chair - Natural Oak Designed by Jean Prouvé

Standard is a chair designed by Jean Prouvé for Vitra. Structure made of press-formed sheet steel and steel tube, powder-coated. Seat and backrest in dark oak or natural oak. The frame is available in different finishes.

Standard classifies itself as a seat with a linear and classic design, although it is very comfortable and convenient. The parts most subject to stress in a seat are the back legs, on which the weight of the body is discharged. This simple concept has been applied in an exemplary manner in the design of Standard Chair. While tubular steel is sufficient for the front legs, a more voluminous hollow body has been used for the rear legs, which is able to effectively relieve stress on the floor.
