For more than four decades, Lumen Center's strength has been in its strictly Made in Italy production. The company was founded in 1976 in the Provençal town of La-Fare-les-Oliviers and run by Gilles Derain, a leading name in contemporary French design. During the 1980s, after outstanding collaborations with distinguished French designers and architects including Jacques Adnet, the company was taken over by a Milanese entrepreneur, officially entering the Italian and international market.
